The Power to See Clearly

November 26, 2009

Within each of us is a basic ability to see clearly in order to know the truth. In Star Journey, the symbol of The Star of Austerity stands for this basic quality of the self to stand back and take a cold, clear look. The Watcher in you awakes, and you exercise this ability to simply perceive, clearly and objectively, both yourself and your surroundings. Yours is the power to see today clearly and chart the course for tomorrow.

Take Time to Reflect

November 23, 2009

Don't feel rushed into a decision. Take the time you need to reflect and study options and choices. In Star Journey the symbol of The Monk reminds us to express our contemplative side. Important insights can come from reflecting on matters in their entirety. Too often circumstances make us feel a decision must be made, and perhaps quickly. We can excercise the inner discipline not to be rushed, to look more deeply, and from this to discover what is true.

Open To Life

November 9, 2009
Allow yourself to be open to all the connections and currents of life. In Star Journey, the symbol of The Hole stands for this inner approach of ultimate receptivity. Accept what life brings to you, whether it be in the physical world or through inner connection. The Hole is the posture of the self being the channel which accepts the flow, including where it comes from and where it goes.

Keep It Simple -- Much Will Come

October 16, 2009

In Star Journey the symbol of The Snow teaches an important concept. Like snow in nature, the very conditions that simplify the landscape and encourage you to "keep it simple" are the same ones that provide the cover and the dormancy from which spring blooms will occur. The truth here is a brief one. Allow conditions -- and yourself -- to remain simple. This will lay the ground for new growith to emerge.

Share Those Feelings

October 12, 2009

People will benefit from hearing the feelings you have inside. They will also value you more for speaking your mind. In Star Journey, the symbol of The Moon describes one's sensitive side and the need to express this to others. Sometimes it may have a certain magnetism, it may also tell of feelings you have instinctually. All this is good for those around you to know, that you are willing to express feelings from looking within.

Be Discerning

October 9, 2009

In matters concerning others, be discerning, but not critical or judgemental. There is a symbol in the Star Journey set, The Knife, that describes the power of one's discriminating eye. We must show others we can separate right from wrong, and cut the fat from the lean. This is how we make good decisions, and how we can be exact in what we do. But refrain from using this tool upon others. Simply be discerning about where your thoughts and energy go.

A Moment to Pause and Reflect

October 5, 2009

Before the next big step, take a moment to reflect on what has taken place. In Star Journey the symbol of The Pool reminds us of a final condition or stage before new events begin. Pause for a moment, look within, and reflect upon all that has led you to now. You may be at the end of one phase with a new chapter about to begin. Gaze into the pool, be at peace and appreciate what has been. For when next you look up, a new day begins.

Grow Through Ties With Others

October 2, 2009

Commitments to others may seem binding and restraining. The simple symbol in Star Journey of The Chain tells about this complex challenge of commitment, and it encourages you to see these through to help grow who you are. Agreements and commitments link you with others, which increases your capability. While commitments can seem constraining at times, know that through them you actively relate ... and integrate ... with the world around you.

Release ... Feeling Life's Flow

September 28, 2009

The pitter patter of soft drops from the sky tell us a shower is beginning. In Star Journey, the symbol of The Rain represents this condition when life provides release and renewal. When you feel this quiet change in the air, like a pattern of rain beginning on the landscape, let yourself release from immediate cares and concerns. Feel the rhythm and change in life, let go and let it flow.

People Listen To You

September 21, 2009

Your ability to influence may be greater than you think. In all of us are qualities like those symbolized by The Crown in Star Journey. This is the symbol of true leadership and guidance, of providing direction that comes straight from the heart. People listen to what you say, what you think, no matter what it may seem. Know that by your own sincere striving to be good, others see, hear, and take heed. The truer you are to your path, the more valued you are as a leader for others.
