Fantasy Faire Kicks-off Cancer Fundraising Effort for 2010

Second Life (SL) is well known as a world-wide community that raises significant funds annually for the American Cancer Socitey’s Relay For Life (RFL). One of many teams in SL working to this end is Friends Fighting Cancer (FFC), which is kicking off this year’s activities once again with its large scale Fantasy Faire. The event starts Aptil 19 and runs for a full week through April 25.

This nine sim event brings together such fantasy genres as Fairy, Elven, Magic, Mermaid, Goth, Demon, Vamp, Neko, Tiny, Sci-Fi and more!  FFC’s goal in 2010 is to raise $15,000 USD for RFL of SL. The Fantasy Faire 2010 will also offer visitors an opportunity to celebrate the survivors of cancer, remember and honor loved ones lost, and to fight back with the American Cancer Society.

If you are a Second Life resident, come visit this spectacular affair. Star Journey is represented, unveiling its new “Dare To Dream” game of meaning. Star Journey island is also pleased to again host a local office for FFC team along with RFL vendors – plus intersim connection to the Faire. So visitors to Star Journey can also come shopping and support the cause.
